Electronic Arts, Inc.

In 1992 I moved on to where I am now, which is Electronic Arts. I was Lead Programmer for Shadowcaster (actually released as an Origin title, although Origin had already been bought by EA) and also for a port of Wing Commander III to the Sony Playstation. It's an awesome version of the game, although it was a definite challenge to get an application that takes up about 24MB on the PC (8MB of RAM plus a 16MB hard drive cache) to work on a machine that has only 3MB of RAM and no hard drive. In most cases, it runs faster than the PC version of the game runs on a 100MHz Pentium!

After that I shipped the first two years ('98 and '99) of EA Sports' NCAA March Madness game. This was an excellent team effort to produce an outstanding college basketball game. If you're into that, check it out! No pressure, though - I don't receive royalties.

After March Madness, I took on the dual role of Manager and Technical Lead of the engineers producing Knockout Kings 2000, an absolutely excellent boxing game (also for the Playstation). It came out terrific and I recommend it highly. I started work with the team on Knockout Kings 2001 for the Playstation but got called away to work on another project that had been in trouble - NASCAR 2001 for the Playstation 2. I helped finish that by integrating the physics code with the rest of the game and it came out pretty decent.

It was back to Knockout Kings for a bit after that. I was a Development Director for Knockout Kings 2002 for Playstation 2 and XBox, and then Knockout Kings 2003 for the Gamecube.

My most recent responsibility, as a Franchise Development Director, is The Godfather: The Game, which has shipped on Playstation 3, Wii, XBox 360, XBox and Playstation 2. I highly recommend it...I have been on the franchise since the beginning of it at EA, and I still think it's an amazing, fun, deep game.
